Zero Waste refers to the act of waste prevention, where all discarded materials are designed to become resources for others to use. Zero Waste strives to ensure that products used once can be repaired, refurbished, re-manufactured, and generally reused. Learning By Doing taught the students the concept of 5 R’s – Reuse, Recycle, Reduce, Refuse, Reproduce
Under the theme of Zero Waste from the lesson in the English textbook, the students of class V conducted an activity called Wonderful Waste where they creatively designed the waste items at their homes to make the Best out of Waste.
The activity was conducted to generate awareness among the students about Waste Management. Such projects highlight the major concern of people around the world regarding ZERO WASTE and CLIMATE SOLUTION . It provides an opportunity for the students to showcase their creativity by believing in the fact that if you can’t recycle, redesign it.
