‘Godhuli’ is the indispensable function of Birla Public School, Pilani. Godhuli means ‘ Dusk time’, time to remember the almighty. The hour of dust kicked up by cattle when the sky is shimmering golden and dreamlike. Godhuli is a magical time when the cowherds bring their cows back home marching in the fading light of dusk, bells tinkling with the fragrance of wildfires.
‘Godhuli’ here in the school is an event that happens daily to foster spiritual growth and develop moral values. At the time of festivities, Godhuli is organized in the school, wherein students sing bhajans and motivational lectures are delivered by the teachers to inculcate among the students a sense of responsibility, affection towards each other, and appreciation for rich cultural heritage.
In ancient times, students learned the lessons of life from their gurus in Gurukul , the same tradition has been followed at Birla Public school to create an environment where students imbibe moral values. All – out efforts are made to prepare our students for a lifetime of independent and innovative thought. Instead of teaching them what to think we try to teach them how to think. The school produces such vibrant and enlightened pupils who believe in strong ethical values and in contributing significantly to society in the future.
